1956
Åke Gunnarsson and Eric Ström founded a sand foundry in Unnaryd. The method for manufacturing was simple, but the key stone for success has been there since the beginning - A passion for casting and an ambition to never deliver a product that you are not proud of.
1960
Gravity casting was introduced.
1969
The first die cast machine was in use.
1980
Vacuum casting was introduced.
1997
ÅGES became ISO 9002 certified.
2000
Focus on environment according to ISO 14001.
2001
A highly efficient purifying plant is introduced, which purifies the processed water within a closed system and reuses it in the production. The company is permitted to produce maximum 12,000 tons of cast aluminium.
2002
ÅGES is certified to ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001.
2005
The plant expands approximately 4500 square meters.
2006
ÅGES is certified to ISO/TS 16949:2002 and are also promoted to ISO14001:2004. The company celebrates 50 years.
